Champagne Michel Laval is a family owned business located in Boursault, in the Marne Valley. The Marne Valley is primarily Pinot Meunier territory and Boursault is often referred to as “Champagne-Burgundy” due to the richness and complexity of its terroir. The Laval family started cultivating grapes in the area in 1870 and they started producing their own champagne in 1948. Their philosophy is to create convivial and celebratory champagnes crafted to be enjoyed with loved ones. Florian Laval, Michel’s son, recently took over the family business. Whilst  perpetuating the family’s tradition, he also has been focused on enforcing more sustainable winemaking practices around the vineyard. Additionally, he will be releasing its own cuvées in 2023, under the Florian Laval label
